Please join us for our CSC Calgary November Lunch meeting.

ARCHITECTURAL WOODWORK MANUFACTURING STANDARDS, AND HOW TO SPECIFY FOR LONG TERM QUALITY


The presentation will focus on:
  • AWMAC's Standards Manual - "North American Architectural Woodwork Standards" (NAAWS 3.1) and the 3 grades of woodwork.
  • How and what to specify for accurate bid prices.
  • Material standards, and selecting the right core for the application.
  • How to make sure manufacturers provide what the contract documents ask for.
Our Speaker:
William Hamilton, certified GIS inspector, AWMAC southern Alberta chapter, journeyman Red Seal Joiner (Cabinetmaker) with 25 years of fabrication, installation and management experience in the architectural woodwork trade.

CSC Calgary Chapter meetings are open to all.
Dinner, Socializing, and Networking: Limited to 50 people due to COVID-19.

Winston's COVID-19 protocols include:
  • Table occupancy is capped at 6 people per table with proper spacing
  • Dinner will be plated
  • Serving staff will wear masks and keep hair tied back to minimize face touching
  • Washrooms are open. Sanitizer is available in the lobby so people can wash their hands, and then sanitize in the lobby after using the washrooms
